No one offered a radar detector mount that I liked so I designed my own. This is the result of about a dozen redesigns and testing several materials to ensure it worked the way I wanted. At this moment the final design has been in my 2025 4Runner  with 14″ multimedia system for many hundreds of miles on various terrain without moving or falling even once. (I believe it will fit 4th Gen Tacomas and possibly 3rd gen Tundras but I have not tested yet. If anyone knows for fact that they use the same screen please let me know.)

My original design incorporated double sided tape to hold in place but I learned that wasn’t necessary with some precise fitment. This mount uses a combination of rubber anti slip tape and silicone bumpers to “grab” onto the surface without any double sided tape or adhesive.

This item is 100% 3D modeled with precision from scratch. The material is rated for temperatures up to 150c/302f and I have tested them to a sustained measured temp of over 170f in my vehicle on a 101 degree day. (The first two materials failed in the same test.)

Bringing some experiences from previous mounting systems in previous vehicles this unit utilizes magnets to attach the radar detector to the mount. This allows the easy removal of the radar detector for various reasons such as putting in a more secure location when parked. There is a magnet mount plate included that has a dual purpose. For direct magnet mounting it helps easily align the magnets. Simply attach the magnets that will be stuck to the radar detector to the magnets on the mount/alignment plate, peel back the film from the double side tape (some patience and a sharp tool can help with this.), and then press onto the radar detector. The magnets will be attached exactly where they need to be.

Pro Tip – If you attach blue painters tape or electrical tape to the bottom of your radar detector it will make a less permanent mount so if you ever wish to remove the magnets it will be protected.

As an added bonus the mount/alignment plate can be used as a second mount albeit with less magnetic attraction to the fixed mount. If you do not wish to direct mount the magnets to your radar detector you can utilize the alignment plate as the mounting surface. I have tested this and it did not ever come loose or fall in my testing but it is not as positive of a magnetic attraction.

Included will be:

• The main mount with magnets, grip tape, and silicone dots pre-installed. It can come right out of the packaging and put into place.
• The magnet alignment plate with magnets installed. This plate can be used as a secondary mounting system.
• Two magnets with double sided tape for direct mounting
